Mona Olivia Kacher  artistic creations

Born a Gemini with a strong “3” vibration, everything in her believes that art and music are essential to the soul; that music and art, as elements truly do bring diverse people together in positive vibration.  Personally, art has been therapy in a world designed to make one lose sense of their own divine presence.

A science nerd by schooling, and a musician by training – her creations are as varied as her interests.  She has made candles, and jewelry, custom hand-rolled paper beads, and paper mache trinket bowls.

“I prefer to work with ‘recovered’ materials and found objects.  I’m really fond of the term 'URT' for upcycled art.  I am constantly pulling things out of recycle bins, and dumpsters…. things like large pieces of intact tempered glass, discarded wire scrap, colorful paper of all kinds, interesting pieces of metal or wood.  With a bucket and a few hand tools, I once trekked into the woods to recover all the hardware off a discarded mangled swing set.”

Mona uses copper wire with recycled water color paper, or nature photos to create artsy cuff bracelets.  She paints with alcohol and inks on ceramic tile.  Three different media pieces were entered in her first Art Show in 2016.  She would also like to start working with paper-crete and hypertufa in the next year. Photography, along with music has also been a great interest throughout her family.
